How to Install Xposed Framework on Android Oreo Devices

The Xposed Framework is a boon for Android users who don’t want to keep flashing custom ROMs to get additional features on their devices. Developed by rovo89The Xposed Framework leverages root access on a device to allow users to customize their device at the system level.

There is great news for all Xposed fans as the Xposed Framework is now available for Android Oreo devices. You can install it on your rooted devices by following a few easy steps. However, please note that since this is the first version of Android Oreo, rovo89 is treating it as a beta version and you may encounter some bugs. Also, some Xposed modules will not work correctly with the latest port until they are updated to support Android Oreo devices.

Observation: The Xposed Framework can be installed in two different ways, depending on which method you choose to root your device (Super SU or Magisk). Both methods are explained below, but make sure you use the appropriate method or you may lock your device.

If you follow the above mentioned instructions for the T, the Xposed Installer will display a checkmark and the service will be activated on the device. In case you experience a boot loop, we recommend wiping a ROM and following the instructions once more.

Install using Magisk

  • Rooted device running Android 8.0/8.1 Oreo
  • Magisk Manager
  • Modified Xposed Installer v3.1.4 (apk)

Observation: The Xposed Installer APK used in each method is different, make sure you install the appropriate APK or the installation process will not work.
